Dr. Arunkumar S. Thankappan Pillai, Ph.D., C.Psych. is a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario in the areas of clinical psychology and rehabilitation psychology, and provides services to adults and couples. He is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), and a diplomate of the Canadian Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Thankappan Pillai obtained his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. Degrees in psychology from the University of Kerala. He also holds two M. Phil Degrees: in medical and social psychology from Ranchi University and in futures studies from the University of Kerala. He was trained in clinical psychology at the Central Institute of Psychiatry.

Dr. Thankappan Pillai has presented and published scientific papers, as well as constructed and standardized psychological scales, and has had the opportunity to teach postgraduate students at the University of Kerala and the Central Institute of Psychiatry.

Dr. Thankappan Pillai has practiced as a clinical psychologist since 1997, and also served as a consultant for the National Narcotics Control Bureau of the Republic of Maldives. He has many years of experience in psychological assessments, therapeutics, and clinical management of a multicultural clientele. 

Presently, he provides psychological assessments and treatments to clients suffering from the sequelae of accident-related trauma. Dr. Thankappan Pillai provides services in Malayalam, English, Hindi and Tamil.
